DERMA LEATHER operates a circular economy, since it reuses the waste created in the Tanning Industry.
This waste, some of which is very significant in the industry, such as blue scrap, is delivered to a multinational company, which in turn produces new chemicals used again in the manufacturing process. All waste is treated and forwarded to the appropriate places.
The company reuses about 17 % of the water used; a figure it intends to increase in the future.
